The forthcoming 10-epsiode series ends the show’s intermittent 23-year run.
HBO have announced that the forthcoming Series 12 of Curb Your Enthusiasm is to be the show’s last.
The show began in 2001, with Larry David starring as an over-the-top version of himself in a hilarious fictionalised version of his life.
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The series finds its fun as it extrapolates catastrophic chains of events from the seemingly trivial details of day-to-day life. For spontaneity, the series shoots without a script – the cast work from scene outlines and improvise as they go.
Joining Larry David in the final series are Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson, Vince Vaughn and Tracey Ullman.
The irreplaceable misanthrope Larry David said:
“As CURB comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character. And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”
The show’s creator is Larry David. The executive producers are Larry David, Jeff Garlin, Jeff Schaffer, co-executive producers are Laura Streicher, Jennifer Corey.
Curb Your Enthusiasm Series 12 debuts on HBO on Sunday 4th February, 2024 with new episodes airing weekly. In the UK, the show lives on Sky Comedy.
