The Amazon crime thriller has announced its cast and some details about the production, here’s what we know so far about Dirty:

The recent news released about the upcoming project has given a few tasty morsels for thrill-seekers to glean some information about the series ahead of production and release.

What’s Dirty about?

The story of the series will follow a trainee detective who is making her return to Manchester. The team she joins specialises in investigating homicides, and is under the watchful eye of her estranged mother. As she tries to settle into the role, certain truths about how her mother has been running things and hidden truths bubble to the surface. Tensions are tested as our protagonist might have to put her family at risk in the name of justice.

Who’s in it?

The currently announced cast includes Samantha Morton (The Serpent Queen) and Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton).

Who’s behind it?

The show’s creator Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies) will also produce and write the series. The director(s) will be confirmed later on in production, which is set to be underway in the UK later this year.
