It look as if Peter Capaldi has now filmed his final scenes for Doctor Who. What’s more, it looks as if Steven Moffat’s final episode of the show is also in the can.
Assorted members of the Doctor Who team/family have been tweeting about the ‘golden wrap party’ for the show that took place last night. Whilst there’s still a possible need for some pick up work – and plenty of promotional duties ahead – that seems to indicate that the Christmas special’s block of filming is now complete. Whether the new Doctor has filmed their first scene as part of that, or whether they’ll be added later (as per David Bradley’s final scene in The Doctor Falls) remains to be seen.
Here’s a few of the Tweets. Read them, as an era begins to pass before our eyes…
The Doctor Who ‘Golden Wrap’ party was lovely! Marvellous to see so many good friends – and to congratulate everyone who has worked so hard.

Most amazing part of last night’s #DoctorWho wrap party was a video message for Steven from none other than Christopher Eccleston!

Amazing to have our @bbcdoctorwho golden wrap party at the same venue where we were with @kylieminogue ten years ago this week (I think?).

Sob.
Still, the Doctor Who crew have the next job on their list, and that’s to head to San Diego Comic-Con later this month, where they’ll be chatting about the Christmas special. More details on that here.
