According to script editor Scott Handcock’s Production Notes in Doctor Who Magazine 587, The director for Block Three of Doctor Who Series 14 is Julie Anne Robinson.
Robinson is a BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated director who developed several television series, both in the United States and abroad. Her credits include Bridgerton, The Catch, One for the Money, The Last Song and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
On 15 December, showrunner Russell T Davies met with Robinson, Handcock and the Block Three producer for a detailed page turn. Handcock describes it in DWM as a “pivotal episode with plenty to discuss (though five minutes of conversation is lost to the pronunciation of ‘spoor’).”

Handcock also introduced two new crew members for Block Two, directed by Mark Tonderai. Tonderai’s director of photography is Miroslaw Baszak. Block two first assistant director is Gareth Tandy. On 9 December, Tonderai, Baszak and Tandy walked through Block Two sets under construction at Wolf Studios Wales.
Block two contains the Doctor Who festive special, possibly a Christmas special, which will air during the festive period this year. On 30 January, Wolf Studios Wales received a shipment of fresh-cut Christmas trees.
