All five episodes of Echo drop on 9th January 2024 as a “streaming event” series.
Ahead of its launch in the New Year, Marvel Studios has released an all-action trailer for Echo.
The 60-second promo gives us a taste of what to expect from the show, which follows the character of Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), and spins out of 2021’s Hawkeye.
The show follows Maya as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire. However, when the journey brings her to her hometown in Oklahoma, she must confront her own family and legacy. Basically, don’t expect to catch your breath!
Joining Alaqua Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, the show also stars Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Graham Greene, Cody Lightning, Charlie Cox, Devery Jacobs and Zahn McClarnon. Plus Charlie Cox, reprising his role as Matt Murdoch/Daredevil.
Originally planned as an eight-episode series, the show is now a billed as a five-episode “streaming event.”
Echo drops on 9th January, 2024. In a first for an MCU series, it will appear on both Hulu and Disney+ simultaneously
It’s worth noting that this is also Marvel Studio’s first TV-MA rated series (the MA stands for Mature Content) and therefore made for an adult audience.
