Amazon MGM has taken up a romantic comedy with a string of stars already attached, here’s what we know so far about Egg Baby:

It seems there’s no end in sight for rom-com development with the latest release about this project joining the ensemble of projects on their way to production.

What’s Egg Baby about?

The story brings together two people on the opposite sides of their community and follows how they clash against one another and eventually, how they come to understand each other. A student on track to the perfect path of becoming a legendary quarterback and a rebellious artist who doesn’t care about fitting in are both partnered for a special assignment for their health class, to look after an egg. Forcing them to act in the interest of an inanimate ingredient reveals things they would never have guessed would have been uncovered.

Who’s behind it?

Ariana Greenblatt (Now You See Me: Now You Don’t) is set to star in the production. Natalia Anderson (Maggie) will be directing, with Sawyer Perry (Dead Animals) as the writer. Allison Friedman (The Mortuary Collection) will produce.
