Benvenuto! Emily in Paris Season 5 is coming to Netflix later this year
An early Christmas present this year as Emily in Paris season 5 arrives on the streamer on December 18. The news is accompanied by a few first look images, as well as some details on the show. Lily Collins is back as Emily Cooper, currently in Rome (as of the end of season 4) but also popping to Venice.
What’s season 5 about?
Creator Darren Star reminded us where the show is so far, as he explained Season 4 of the series saw the expat spark a romance with a handsome Italian fashion scion and then move into an Italian apartment to open a Rome office for Agence Grateau. But the locale twist doesn’t mean the name of the show is changing. “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome,” says Star. “It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris.”
Of course there are plenty of romantic complications on the horizon, and the press release also confirmed returning and new cast. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello), and Thalia Besson (Genevieve) are all returning for the new season. Additional returning cast members include Paul Forman as Nico and Arnaud Binard as Laurent G.
With a few months to wait, we’re expecting more news a little later this year, including at least one trailer. We’ll keep you posted.
