The new run of Endeavour kicks off on ITV next month, and the channel has now confirmed who we can expect to see in it.

Set this time in 1968, Shaun Evans will be playing Detective Sergeant Endeavour Morse, with Roger Allam and Anton Lesser both returning.

As for guest stars, you can expect to see this time Robin Weaver, Charlotte Hope, Caroline Goodall, Ellie Haddington, Richard Durden, Dominic Carter, Steve Elder, Lily Lesser and Rebecca Saire making appearances.

Six feature-length episodes are on the way, penned by Russell Lewis. And the story basics, as per the ITV news release, read:

Set in 1968, the new series begins with Morse having finally passed his Sergeant’s exams, as Oxford City Police merges into Thames Valley Constabulary. Joan Thursday (Sara Vickers) has returned to Oxford, but much is unresolved following her disappearance the previous year and Endeavour’s unexpected proposal.
