Apple has released a trailer for alternate history series For All Mankind season 2 and confirmed a release date
When we covered the news of For All Mankind season 3 being announced (here) we couldn’t bring you a date for season 2; now we can. It will be on Apple TV from February 19, 2021. Starring Noah Harpster, Joel Kinnaman and Michael Dorman, For All Mankind season 2 picks up in 1983, the height of the Cold War, with tensions between the United States and the USSR at their peak. The Department of Defense has moved into Mission Control, and the militarization of NASA becomes central to several characters’ stories: some fight it, some use it as an opportunity to advance their own interests, and some find themselves at the height of a conflict that may lead to nuclear war.
Yes, it’s very much alternate history exploring the what if of the Soviet Union landing on the moon first. It’s also a great way to relive (for some of us) some great ’80s music and other memories of the time! Expect lots of positive reviews of this season, judging by the trailer! Don’t forget season 1 is still available to watch.
