Sky has confirmed that it’s pressing ahead with the third series of icy drama Fortitude – but that the show is coming to an end.

The programme – which wears influences from John Carpenter’s classic movie remake of The Thing – will start filming its final run soon, with four episodes planned for the final series to wrap things up. Dennis Quaid, Richard Dormer and Sienna Guillory will lead the returning cast.

The show is expected to arrive on Sky Atlantic later this year.
