ITV has released a set of new photos from the fifth series of Downton Abbey, including Withnail and I actor Richard E. Grant as new character Simon Bricker.

The eight-part series is expected to begin on ITV towards the end of September.

A promotional photo of Series 5’s main cast has also been unveiled.
