Pasqualino will play D’Artagnan, alongside Tom Burke (The Hour) as Athos, Santiago Cabrera (Merlin) as Aramis and Howard Charles as Porthos.
Written by Adrian Hodges (Survivors, Primeval), the ten-part series is a “fresh and contemporary take on the classic characters created by Alexandre Dumas in his much-loved novel”.

The cast also includes Peter Capaldi (The Thick of It), Tamla Kari (Cuckoo), Maimie McCoy (Loving Miss Hatto) and Hugo Speer (Bedlam).

The Musketeers begins filming next month and will air on BBC One in 2014.
