June 2018 is a good month for Whovians with access to UK Netflix, as both Doctor Who series 10 and the spinoff series Class are coming to the immensely popular streaming service next month.
Class, which ran for 10 episodes on the BBC iPlayer back in 2016, is available right now on Netflix UK in fact. The show focused on the pupils of Coal Hill Academy, with this familiar location from Doctor Who lore playing host to a variety of alien monsters. Class was written by Patrick Ness, and it starred Greg Austin, Fady Elsayed, Sophie Hopkins, Vivian Oparah and Katherine Kelly.
Doctor Who series 10 – which consisted of 12 episodes (including a Christmas special), and originally aired on BBC One in 2017 – will arrive on UK Netflix on June 25th, 2018. This was the last series of Doctor Who with showrunner Steven Moffat and star Peter Capaldi at the helm, with Jodie Whittaker popping up at the end of the Chrimbo special to tease series 11.
All series of Doctor Who since 2005 are now also available on the BBC’s iPlayer service, incidentally.
As always, it’s unclear exactly how long either of these series will stay on Netflix. So, if you’ve been playing to watch/rewatch either Class or Doctor Who series 10, you’ll want to get on it fairly quickly.
In other Doctor Who streaming news, social video platform Twitch is hosting all of the classic episodes. That started last week too…
