After two seasons, we definitely now won’t be getting any more episodes of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, it’s been confirmed.
The show, based on the novels by Douglas Adams, had failed to earn a renewal at BBC America for a season three towards the end of last year. Thus, efforts were made to try and find the programme a new home somewhere else. A fan petition was also launched to try and save the show.
However, it looks like it’s game over, with executive product Arvind Ethan Davis Tweeting that “there will not be a season 3 of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”.

As you can see, he does leave the door slightly ajar for more adventures. But for this particular iteration? Dirk Gently’s time is up…
