By this time tomorrow, we’ll know who the 13th Doctor is in Doctor Who, the man or woman who’ll be taking the keys to the TARDIS from Peter Capaldi this Christmas.
Speculation continues to centre on Kris Marshall being the likely candidate, as he has been for several months now. But the latest odds from Ladbrokes suggest a late surge for Jodie Whittaker as the new Time Lord. Presumably, her time working with incoming showrunner Chris Chibnall on Broadchurch is a factor there. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who has denied pretty clearly she’s not the new Doctor, has seen her odds lengthen as a result.
Here are the current leading candidates. Place your bets at your peril, though…
Jodie Whittaker – 6/4
Kris Marshall – 6/4
Phoebe Waller-Bridge – 6/1
Tom Rosenthal – 6/1
Vicky McClure – 10/1

These odds come from Ladbrokes, but it seems few bookmakers are now taking bets. Do they know something we don’t?
