‘Doctor Who’ star on River Song future: ‘I’m so attached to that character’

Doctor Who star Alex Kingston has revealed that she will always be open to returning as River Song.

The Upstairs Downstairs actress told Radio Times: “I’m so attached to that character. I never expected her to grow and develop in the way she has. You never know whether she’s going to be hard-ass or good.”

She added: “As long as Steven Moffat has storylines that include her, I will always say yes.”

Kingston made her debut as River Song in 2008’s ‘Silence in the Library’ and was last seen in last year’s ‘The Angels Take Manhattan’.

Doctor Who returns on Saturday 30 March on BBC One and BBC America with Steven Moffat’s ‘The Bells of Saint John’.
