Ghost Rider: Gabriel Luna will reprise the role for new Marvel TV series

Gabriel Luna, who left a lasting impression when he played Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., will reprise that role in a fresh continuity for a new series on Hulu. Here’s all the info…

Hulu is planning to release Ghost Rider next year, with a new series that’s described thusly:

“Marvel’s Ghost Rider, also known as Robbie Reyes, is a quintessential antihero, consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. Reyes lives on the Texas/Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields. Marvel’s Ghost Rider is executive produced by Ingrid Escajeda, who will serve as showrunner, Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb.”

Variety has confirmed that Gabriel Luna will be playing Reyes again in this show, although their “sources stress that this will be a completely new iteration of the character in no way connected to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. storyline.”

Furthermore, Hulu is also making a TV show about Marvel’s Helstrom. That show has been described like so:

“Daimon [pictured above] and Ana Helstrom are the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer in Marvel’s Helstrom. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity — each with their attitude and skills. Marvel’s Helstrom is executive produced by Paul Zbyszewski, who will serve as showrunner and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb.”

Both shows are set to air next year, and we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
