Harry Potter creator JK Rowling has responded to a fan’s enquiry about the possibility of a TV series based on the boy wizard.
Twitter user Skyler Spitz asked: “So like… We had seven books and 8 movies. We are getting a play and 3 spin off movies. Where is our TV Show @jk_rowling ?!”
Sadly, Rowling has dashed fans’ hopes for a television adaptation, replying: “Right after the opera, Potter-on-ice and the interpretative dance version of Beedle the Bard #NotActuallyHappening”
The final entry in the eight-part film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, was released in 2011.
However, a Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie is due in cinemas on 18 November 2016, with two sequels following in 2018 and 2020.
