Katherine Ryan will write, executive produce and star in a Netflix sitcom entitled The Duchess, fans of the Canadian-Irish comedian will be pleased to hear.
As the official Netflix press bumf tells us, this six-part series will focus on “the powerful and problematic choices of a fashionably disruptive single mom living in London. Her daughter, Olive, is her greatest love so she debates a second child with her greatest enemy — Olive’s dad. Can two wrongs make another right?”
Clerkenwell Films is one of the companies involved behind the scenes, with the press release making sure to mention their previous mega-hit, The End Of The F***ing World.

Also, the same press bumf tells us that Ryan’s recent stand-up show, Gliter Room, will come to Netflix in 2019 as well. This will be her second stand-up special on the streaming service, following last year’s Katherine Ryan: In Trouble.
