Last year’s big screen King Arthur movie was reportedly set to kickstart a new six-movie franchise. The relatively poor box office returns, and the less than enthusiastic critical reaction, quickly ended the chance of that happening.
However, Sin City creator Frank Miller is going to pick the King Arthur mantle up next, and he’s putting together a new drama about a young girl, destined to become the Lady of the Lake from the Arthurian legend.
Netflix has stumped up for the new show, that goes by the name of Cursed. What’s more, there’s no pilot here: the streaming giant has put an order in for ten episodes from the off.
Tom Wheeler will pen the show with Miller, although no production date has thus far been set.
