Legion season 2 teaser: “what does it take for a group of people to go mad?”

A new Legion season 2 trailer/featurette thingy has landed on the web. Noah Hawley’s mutants-meet-mental-illness series returns next month, with Dan Stevens returning to the role of troubled telepath David Haller.

Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart and pretty much everyone else from season 1 is coming back, as well.

The new promo video opens, as many of the Legion season 2 teasers have, with Jeremie Harris’ memory-themed mutant Ptonomy Wallace reciting a line from X-Men: Days Of Future Past: “What’s the last thing you remember?”

From that humble starting point, things get pretty wild. You can watch the new Legion season 2 featurette, which features key cast members chatting about the show alongside some footage, right here:

Showrunner Noah Hawley touched upon his big questions for season 2 of this mind-bending series, saying this: “What is a delusion? How does a delusion take hold? How does it thrive? What does it take for a group of people to go mad?”

This new video also makes it clear that David has been in “the orb” from the season 1 finale for a year, but it only feels like a day from his point of view. When he reunites with the Summerland gang, there will be some major new trust issues.

Legion season 2 arrives on FOX, for UK viewers, on April 17th, 2018.
