Legion season 3 will soon appear on our screens, which means the barmy promotional materials for the show are starting to pile in again. This new teaser trailer heralds the arrival of Professor X in the show…

Harry Lloyd, a Game Of Thrones alum, is set to play Professor X, David’s biological father, in the third and final season of Legion. And you can see him in action with a proto-Cerebro sort of device right here…

“Is this a cult?” David is asked, early in the clip. He claims, surrounded by placated people, including a pregnant Syd, that he’s helping to “open their minds.”

David is also recruiting a time-traveller, a move that he says is “about saving lives, starting with mine.” We then see a shot of Syd killing David, implying that undoing his own murder will be an important part of the puzzle for David in this final season of the show.

Making a big impression among the returning cast is Aubrey Plaza, who is clearly bringing us some more unhinged glory as Lenny.

Legion season 3 will premiere on June 24 in the USA, on FX. UK viewers will have to wait until July 4, when the show will return to the British version of FX and the Now TV streaming service.
