Love, Death And Robots season 2 has been confirmed, and Jennifer Yuh Nelson is joining the behind-the-scenes team. Here’s everything you need to know, and why this news is exciting…
Joshua Donen, David Fincher, Jennifer Miller and Tim Miller created this animated anthology series for Netflix, and its recently-released first season was relatively well received.
However, with Jennifer Yuh Nelson as part of the team, Love, Death And Robots season 2 could be even better than the first run.
If you’re not familiar with Jennifer Yuh Nelson, allow us to explain why we’re excited: she’s one of the masterminds behind the underrated Kung Fu Panda film franchise. She directed the dream sequence on the first film, before directing the whole movie the second time around, and then co-directing with Alessandro Carloni on the threequel. She’s clearly got an eye for a story and a visual, and a keen skill in crafting emotional moments, all of which should help her elevate Love, Death And Robots season 2 to new heights.
As for her exact role this time, an official Netflix Twitter account states that Jennifer Yuh Nelson will serve as a ‘supervising director’ on Love, Death And Robots season 2, meaning that she will oversee all the episodes.
We’d wager that having Jennifer Yuh Nelson on staff, to help the next batch of animated episodes reach their full potential, could result in something really special.
We don’t have a release date for Love, Death And Robots season 2 just yet, but we’ll let you know when it’s announced.
