Robert Goodman (Gangs of New York, Game of Thrones) will appear in Episode 4, which recently began filming.

Episode 5, which is also currently filming, will feature Broadchurch actor Jonathan Bailey and Pippa Bennett-Warner (The Smoke, Death in Paradise).

The BBC also announced today that Samuel Anderson (Emmerdale) will join the cast as a recurring character in Series 8.

The actor will play Danny Pink, a teacher at Coal Hill School where companion Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) also teaches.

Series 8 of Doctor Who is currently filming in Cardiff and is expected to begin airing on BBC One in August.
