Filming is now complete on the Doctor Who Christmas special, Twice Upon A Time, that sees Peter Capaldi share the screen with David Bradley as the first Doctor. All before the regeneration into Jodie Whittaker at the end.
David Bradley was a guest at the London Film & Comic Con over the weekend, and he’s been chatting about the episode.
There are mild spoilers ahead.
“There’s an event towards the end that happens”, he teased, “and when it happened, well, we just did a take and neither Peter nor I expected it”.
“There was no CGI involved, it was all happening and we were both almost blubbing by the time that the take ended. I can’t say, I’m not going to say, what it was but it was quite an event and we weren’t prepared for all the things that were going to be going on around us as we were doing our dialogue”.
“We got quite lumpy”, he added, noting that “they’ve kept that out of the trailer”.
Twice Upon A Time screens on Christmas Day, of course. And it sounds like there won’t be a dry eye in the house…
