The writer of Our Girl has revealed that “there are more stories to tell” after the current season.
The army drama returned to BBC One earlier this month, with Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan replacing former lead Lacey Turner as new medic Georgie Lane in East Africa.

Our Girl creator Tony Grounds told press recently: “There’s room for a series three. While the British Army is out there in the world, there are more stories to tell.”
He added: “It can go on for as long as the British Army can.”
Asked about whether Keegan would return as Georgie in a third season, Grounds said: “I’m sure she’s got the legs for another series. Though I’m sure Michelle won’t want to be doing it in ten years’ time.”
However, Keegan replied: “You never know, Tony!”
