After Sherlock co-creator and Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss tweeted about Moore’s role in 1970 thriller The Man Who Haunted Himself, the actor responded : “I might be equally wonderful in Dr Who or Sherlock if asked!”

Gatiss replied: “My life is complete! Will be [in] touch.”
