The first trailer for the Sense8 series finale has now arrived on the web, priming viewers for an emotional and action-packed ending. The trailer features explosions, guns, snogging and a driving-at-sundown segment that the Fast & Furious franchise would be proud of.
Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski have been writing Sense8 for Netflix since the show’s debut in 2015. Netflix opted to cancel the series in June 2017, rather than pressing ahead with Sense8 season 3. Due to fan demand, the streaming service backpedalled a bit and agreed to finance a two-hour Sense8 series finale. This feature-length closing instalment will allow the show’s creators and cast to properly give the sensates a send-off, as well as giving the fans the closure they’ve been hoping for.

It might be wise to have a box of tissues ready for this one, as it looks like things could get pretty emotional at the end there. It’ll be interesting to see whether the writers, bolstered by the fact that they know this is their last shot with these characters, opt to kill anyone off or instead provide a purely positive ending.
The Sense8 finale release date is set for June 8th, 2018.
