Principal photography is now complete on Sherlock‘s upcoming Christmas special.

The one-off episode’s shoot began in Bristol on Tuesday 6 January and wrapped yesterday.

Written by the show’s co-creators, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, the festive special sees Benedict Cumberbatch return as Sherlock Holmes, alongside Martin Freeman as John Watson and Amanda Abbington as Mary Watson.

Season 4 is expected to begin filming later this year.
