It spent a fortune on making it, and a fortune on advertising it, as it went in search of a Game Of Thrones-alike show of its own. Now comes the news that Sky is set to spend another fortune on ordering a second series of Britannia.
The show stars Kelly Reilly and David Morrissey, and was co-funded by Amazon Prime Video. The first season of nine episodes was released all in one go back in January. Now, Sky is looking to press ahead with a second series, that’ll be filmed for the most part in the UK. We assume it’ll be released in one block again, too.
There’s no word yet on when production will begin on the new series, but we’ll bring you that news when we have it.
