Sky has announced the recommission of Stella for a fourth series.

Ruth Jones’s comedy drama will return to Sky1 for ten new 60-minute episodes in 2015.

Prior to that, a one-off special will air this Christmas and will start filming next month.

Ruth Jones commented: “I’m thrilled that Sky viewers love delving into the world of Pontyberry so much that we’re being welcomed back for a fourth series. It’s stunnin presh.”

Lucy Lumsden, Head of Comedy, Sky Entertainment commented: “Stella‘s continued success has been a massive part of comedy’s journey on Sky 1 HD. With its Welsh warmth and wit, we are delighted to bring back the fourth series for our customers.”

Series 4 will begin filming later this year.
