For the past two years, one of Netflix’s very biggest hits has been Stranger Things, a show to which it’s quickly confirmed a third season order for. However, that good news looks like it’s come with one slight caveat: season three is going to take a bit longer to get to us.
David Harbour, who plays Chief Hopper in the programme, has been chatting to Variety, and admitted that “one of the things that’s annoying for fans is that it takes us a long time to do them”, adding that “you probably won’t get [season three] until sometime in 2019″.
Citing the fact that the show’s writers and creators, the Duffer brothers, “sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day”, he nonetheless admitted that it’s going to take a fair amount of time to put the next series together. Not for the want of trying, it seems.
We’ll keep you posted. Stranger Things season 3 should at least go into production at some point in 2018.
