Filming is now underway on the new Alan Partridge television series, that’s heading to BBC One later this year. Steve Coogan is reprising the title role in the show, which is going by the name of This Time With Alan Partridge.

Already confirmed for the cast alongside him are Susannah Fielding (who will play his new co-presenter) and Tim Key. Coogan has penned the show along with Neil and Rob Gibbons, the latter two of whom are directing.

And now we get confirmation of a very welcome return. Felicity Montagu will be reprising the role of Alan’s long-suffering assistant Lynn in the new show. She’ll be appearing across the series, playing the role for the first time since the movie Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.

The series is expected on BBC One in the autumn.
