BBC Two has recommissioned House of Fools for a second series.

Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer’s anarchic comedy launched in January and the second series will once more feature uninvited lodgers, visitors and guests who constantly fill the house, wreaking havoc everywhere they go.

Returning characters include lothario Beef (Matt Berry), Geordie ex-con Bosh (Dan Skinner), Bob’s sulky son Erik (Daniel Simonsen) and man-eater Julie (Morgana Robinson).

Shane Allen, Controller of Comedy Commissioning, commented: “House Of Fools is a much-needed big old rainbow of daftness in a world that is too grey and sensible. Those two lovable twits work very hard at making something that looks so effortlessly silly and it’s a thrill to know there’s plenty more where that came from.”

Vic and Bob added: “We are overjoyed and thankful to our great corporation for their diligence in this matter.”
