Pre-production work has begun on the BBC’s brand new adaptation of War Of The Worlds, that’s been scripted by Doctor Who and Jonathan Norrell & Mr Strange scribe Peter Harness. Three 60 minute episodes are planned, with Mammoth Screen the production company involved.
The shoot for the new War Of The Worlds, based on the H G Wells novel of the same name, will take place in the north west of England. It’s expected that filming will happen in Cheshire and Liverpool.
When it was discussed last April, it was revealed that the adaptation would take place in the Victorian era. It’s believed that’s still the case.
No casting has been announced as of yet, but further details are expected soon.
