The next season of Westworld is heading our way very soon…
Based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 Westworld movie, the Westworld TV show was created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and it first came to our screens in October 2016. And with Game Of Thrones concluded, you could argue that Westworld is now HBO’s biggest show that’s still on the air.
The show’s first season introduced The Maze in which android hosts were being forced to live, an amusement park for humans, which Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores eventually led a rebellion within. The second season pulled on this thread, providing a mind-bending season of television, before showing Dolores escaping into the real world and recreating Jeffrey Wright’s Bernard host.
Now, we go into the show’s third season expecting more android action and brain-testing storylines. Joining the fray is a new character played by Aaron Paul, who is beloved for his work in cult classic TV shows like Breaking Bad and BoJack Horseman.
It’s been announced that Westworld season 3 will arrive on our screens on 15th March, with HBO handling the American broadcast and Sky Atlantic hosting the UK one, typically in a simulcast that will be repeated on the evening following each episode’s debut.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
