Wynonna Earp season 4 is officially on the way, with Syfy ordering a fourth run of the supernatural Western horror series. Here’s everything you need to know…
The show, which is inspired by a comic book series by Beau Smith, first appeared on our screens in 2016. It has been a modest hit for Syfy ever since, but the renewal for season 4 was far from a certainty.
In fact, rumours previously spread suggesting that Syfy was unsure whether to cancel or renew Wynonna Earp after its third run. The show’s fans rallied to show their support, and now Syfy has rewarded them with a confirmation that season 4 will happen.
The Wynonna Earp showrunnner, Emily Andras, has been vocal about praising the fans. For instance, she said this to Vulture about the news:
“The Earpers, this is all thanks to them. The movement they have built on kindness and inclusivity is legendary, but what I admire most is their determination to fight not only for what they want, but what they deserve. The fans showed up right when we needed them most – but then, they always do.”
Melanie Scrofano is expected to return to the title role, as you’d expect, and fans have been told to expect the new episodes next year. As we hear more, we’ll let you know.
