Whizz Kid’s ‘A Life On Screen’ series will bring its focus to Hugh Grant this Chrimbo. After previously making instalments with Stephen Fry, Lenny Henry and Michael Palin, ‘Hacked Off Hugh’ will be the next to reflect on his acting career over the decades.
The Four Weddings And A Funeral and Paddington 2 actor is to speak about his experiences making various films and shows in the 60-minute special, and Andie MacDowell, Richard Curtis, Sandra Bullock and Colin Firth are all set to appear in it to tell some tales about working alongside Grant.
Hugh Grant: A Life On Screen will air on BBC Two on a currently-unspecified date over the yuletide season, and will “chart his rise, from starting out in comedy troupe The Jockeys of Norfolk, to his breakthrough role in Four Weddings And A Funeral, and more recent work, such as his critically acclaimed turn in A Very English Scandal” according to Deadline.
Grant will be back on the big screen next year in Guy Ritchie’s gangster action-comedy, The Gentleman, and also has a new HBO show in the works with Nicole Kidman, called The Undoing.
