Jennifer Aniston on a Friends revival: “I fantasise about it!”

Jennifer Aniston has, once again, been asked about a potential Friends revival with the original cast, and she’s very enthusiastic about the idea.

Bringing back beloved cult shows is TV’s favourite trend at the moment, and Friends would join Will & GraceGilmore GirlsTwin Peaks and The X-Files in returning from the dead. Jennifer Aniston, as it stands, would love to do it.

Speaking to InStyle magazine for their September issue, Aniston said, “Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back. Courteney [Cox] and Lisa [Kudrow] and I talk about it.”

“I fantasise about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don’t know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted.”

When asked about bringing Friends back, the stars behind the Central Perk sextet have all had mixed feelings. In February this year, David Schwimmer was asked on Megyn Kelly Today and he said, “oh, man… I just don’t know if I want to see all of us with crutches and, y’know, walkers. I doubt it.. I really doubt it.”

Matthew Perry says the prospect of a revival gives him genuine nightmares while Matt LeBlanc believes that “those characters have all gone their separate ways, they’ve all grown up” and that they shouldn’t bring them back.

Lisa Kudrow, on the other hand, told Conan O’Brien that she thinks “something should be done” and confirmed that Courteney Cox is also intrigued about possibly returning to Phoebe and Monica.

Jennifer Aniston said that if the male stars were hesitant about returning then “we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture,” she teased.

More news on a possible Friends revival as we hear it.
