Jed Mercurio, the creator and writer of Line Of Duty, is hard at work penning the fifth series of the acclaimed show. But as expected, it’s not going to back on our screen this year.
Adrian Dunbar, who plays the immortal Ted Hastings in the show, confirmed that the plan is to film the new series “at the end of this year, some time in the autumn”, adding “we’ll all have to wait until 2019 to find out what happens to us all”.
Mercurio, as always, is keeping things close to his chest, and hasn’t revealed any details of the new series to the cast as of yet. That said, it’s expected that it’ll dig into the past of AC-12 chief Hastings.
Our best guess at the moment is for a transmission date around Easter 2019…
