Doctor Who Magazine offers new Cyberman bookazine

Posted Filed under

The age of artificial intelligence is bringing us closer than ever to the parallel world that Doctor Who first predicted some 60 years ago. As the embodiment of that nightmarish future, the Cybermen remain one of the series’ deadliest foes – and a grim warning about our loss of humanity.

The latest bookazine from the makers of Doctor Who Magazine explores the entire history of these machine creatures across 224 lavishly illustrated pages, with exclusive CG recreations of Cyberman designs and technology.

“We had a great response to last year’s Ultimate Guide to the Daleks, and everyone agreed that Cybermen should be the next subject,” says editor Marcus Hearn. “The CG illustrations were among the highlights of the Dalek guide and we only wanted to go ahead with this new volume if we could create a similar number of new pictures in the same style. Anthony Lamb and Gavin Rymill rose to the challenge with some stunning images of Cybermen and Cyber-technology.”

Other highlights of this new bookazine include exclusive interviews, rare photos and a complete Cyber-timeline.

This comprehensive and revealing guide is available in a deluxe slipcase.

Cybermen: The Ultimate Guide is available from Panini with free UK delivery for a limited time. It’s also available from good news retailers while stocks last, and digitally from Pocketmags.
