Mr. Scorsese – Apple TV+ announce a 5-part documentary series

The filmmaker Rebecca Miller will explore the legendary director’s lengthy career. 

Apple TV have announced a deep dive on the writer, director and producer Martin Scorsese. From Taxi Driver and Raging Bull to The Irishman and Killers of the Flower Moon, he’s been at the heart of moviemaking for more than six decades.

The five-part series is described as a film portrait of the man through the lens of his work. It will explore the many facets of his visionary filmmaking, including his extraordinary career and unique personal history.

With exclusive, unrestricted access to Scorsese’s private archives, the documentary series is anchored by extensive conversations with the filmmaker himself.

We are promised contributions from Scorsese’s numerous collaborators including Robert De Niro, Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Robbie Robertson, Thelma Schoonmaker, Steven Spielberg, Sharon Stone, Jodie Foster, Paul Schrader, Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, Jay Cocks and Rodrigo Prieto. Plus, his children, his wife Helen Morris and close childhood friends.
