Doctor Who companion actress Nicola Bryant has penned a short story to be published in the pages of Doctor Who Magazine.
Known for playing Perpugilliam “Peri” Brown alongside the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison) and the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker), Bryant sat next to Colin Baker on The Whoniverse Show to tease her short story ‒ one of which she’s certain Baker won’t approve.

Nicola Bryant: I have actually just written a story which sits between [The] Twin Dilemma and Attack of the Cybermen and it’s just a short story and it’s going to be in the Doctor Who Magazine.
Colin Baker: Is it?
NB: It is.
CB: Have you asked for copy approval from me?
NB: I haven’t. I don’t think you’d give it either.
CB: Am I in it?
NB: You are.
CB: And you don’t think I’d give it?
NB: No. [laughs]
CB: Oh boy. I’m looking forward to this.

The Twin Dilemma, the Sixth Doctor’s first full story, ends in a fragile truce between the Doctor and Peri after an adventure plagued by severe post-regeneration psychosis where the Doctor fluctuates between extreme arrogance, cowardice, and even an attempt to strangle Peri before his mind is finally stabilized.
What will Peri’s “terrible” changed companion with his garish, multi-coloured coat and his erratic behaviour be up to in this new adventure penned by Bryant? Fans will find out in a future issue of Doctor Who Magazine.
