The story of Nigel Farage is being brought to the screen, courtesy of a hugely-expensive six-part series due to air next year.
It’s going to be based on Arron Banks’ book, The Bad Boys Of Brexit, and The Telegraph reports that a £60m deal has been inked to make the production. The scripts are nearly in place, and the deal is expected to be formally ratified in Los Angeles next month.
The story of the series will be told from the perspective of American pollster Gerry Gunster, who was advising the Leave.EU campaign. The production will then follow the story of Nigel Farage and Arron Banks’ campaign for the UK to leave the European Union, which resulted in the former then campaigning for Donald Trump in his (successful) bid to become US President.
There’s no word yet on casting, a director or who is writing those scripts. We’ll let you know more as more details are revealed…
