The show stars Game of Thrones‘ John Bradley and Downton Abbey‘s Joanne Froggatt.
ITV has announced that it has acquired Aussie drama North Shore for its ITVX streaming service.
The six-part crime drama stars John Bradley (3 Body Problem) as a British detective brought in to help solve the complex murder of a UK politician’s daughter, played by Joanne Froggatt (Sherwood).
Although it hails from the same part of the world as Return to Paradise, with the same clash of cultures, we expect a much harder edge!
Here’s the synopsis of North Shore:
Set on and around Sydney Harbour, North Shore follows the clash of cultures when a British and an Australian detective team up to solve a complex murder mystery and uncover a conspiracy with international political consequences.
The crime thriller also stars Kirsty Sturgess (Young Rock), Dan Spielman (The Code), Rob Carlton (Paper Giants) and Matt Passmore (Frayed).
It comes from Mike Bullen (Cold Feet) and director Gregor Jordan (Two Hands) with writing from Marcia Gardner (The Doctor Blake Mysteries).
The show actually premiered back in May 2023 in Australia, so there’s a trailer to be found…
North Shore streams on ITVX from 29th December 2024.
