Brand new information has been released from the latest heart warming project from BBC, here’s everything we know about Onward and Sideways:

Alongside the sparkling new first look image (above), information about the cast and story have also been released. They’ve given audiences insight into what to expect and exactly how many boxes of tissues to get ready for when their heartstrings are pulled.

What’s Onward and Sideways about?

The story follows two lead characters, a deputy head of a local school and a free-spirited artist lead individual lives in their own personal bubbles in Norfolk. Despite living lives in their own lanes, the two are unexpectedly brought together on one fateful morning, the pair suddenly have something in common – they have both received a diagnosis for Parkinson’s. Their new bond is realised and they find their way through a new chapter of life.

Who’s in it?

The film has a list of familiar faces, including Laura Linney (Ozark), Rhys Ifans (Inheritance), Monica Dolan (Mr Bates vs The Post Office), Rory Kinnear (The Diplomat) and Paul Mayhew-Archer (The Vicar of Dibley).

When’s it out?

There’s no confirmed release date, but it will be coming to cinemas, BBC iPlayer and BBC One upon release.
