Everyone’s favourite marmalade-lover is making another comeback, with snippets of info coming out – here’s what we know about Paddington 4:

Its been announced that there’s more talent attached to the upcoming addition to the world favourite adventuring brown bear. Although certain things are still being kept secret, there’s something to glean from recent information.

What’s happened before Paddington 4?

We’ve already followed the friendly titular fuzzball from his origin story in London, where he brought an unsure family and community together to accept him and one another. The second film follows him trying to find something for his beloved Aunt Lucy, only to end up in prison and stage one of the greatest escapes yet. The most recent story from the cinematic series begins with his favourite Aunt going missing in his home of Peru, he brings a band of merry adventurers along with him to find out where she went, stumbling upon an ancient treasure on the way. The plot details are being kept secret for the fourth film as development continues, but no doubt there will be more adventures and more new friends.

Who’s behind it?

Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell (The Thick of It) have been added to the project as writers, likely to bring the home-grown wit their audiences love. Dougal Wilson is potentially in talks to direct a continuation of the series for the second time.
