Apple TV has announced when to expect the second season of Criminal Record, here’s what we know so far about the upcoming episodes:

What’s it about?

DCI Daniel Hegarty and DS June Lenker are reunited in present-day London, they dig further into the contradiction caused by trying to follow their policing orders and to turn a blind eye to the truth. Following a gruesome stabbing at a political rally, the pair begrudgingly work together on the case. A seemingly usual hunt for a murderer grows into something much larger as they both find themselves racing against time to defuse the threat of a bomb threat right in the heart of London.

Who’s in it?

The confirmed cast for the eight episode series includes Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who), Cush Jumbo (Deadwater Fell), Dustin Demri-Burns (Slow Horses), Luca Pasqualino (Our Girl), Luther Ford (The Crown), Lyndsey Marshal (Inside Man), Peter Sullivan (Around the World in 80 Days), Shaun Dooley (Cuffs), Stephen Campbell Moore (The History Boys) and Charlie Creed-Miles (Giri/Haji).

Who’s behind it?

The series will be directed by Ben A. Williams (Humans) and Joelle Mae David (Dreaming Whilst Black). It’s produced by Tod Productions and STV Studios (Blue Lights), and executive produced by Elaine Collins (Eastenders).

When’s it out?

Apple TV has announced that the premiere of the second season of Criminal Record will be hitting our screens, via streaming, on Wednesday, 22nd April, followed by new episodes weekly through to Wednesday, 10th June. It’ll be available to watch on AppleTV.
