Ahead of its 19th December launch date, Prime Video have released a first-look trailer for their upcoming gameshow Beast Games. 

Co-created and fronted by the YouTuber “MrBeast” aka Jimmy Donaldson, Beast Games has 1,000 contestants competing for $5 million dollars.

Here’s what Prime Video say:

From the groundbreaking mind of MrBeast comes a new, record-breaking competition series. A staggering 1,000 players compete in nail-biting, physical, mental, and social challenges, for a chance to win a whopping $5 million dollar cash prize. Week by week, players will use their strength and wit to stay in the game, with the hope of being the multi-million-dollar winner.

While the show has suffered from complaints of behind-the-scenes mistreatment, leading to a class action by some contestants, the show’s makers refute them.

On social media, MrBeast said:

“We have tons of behind the scenes dropping when the show does to show how blown out of proportion these claims were. Just can’t release it now because it would spoil the games.”

The Beast Games begin with two episodes on Thursday 19th December, followed by weekly instalments for the rest of the series’ 10-part run.
