Variety is reporting Jameela Jamil has been cast in upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk
Jamil is probably best known as one of the stars of The Good Place, and since then has appeared in a whole range of titles including Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Duck Tales and also is the host for US game show The Misery Index and a judge on US show Legendary. She also expresses her opinions on Twitter (@jameelajamil) where she has attracted both criticism and admiration (we’re in the latter camp). It’s also where we got the picture for this article.
As to She-Hulk, the series centres on lawyer Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), cousin of Bruce Banner, who inherits his Hulk powers after she receives a blood transfusion from him. Unlike Bruce, however, when she hulks out Jennifer is able to retain most of her personality, intelligence, and emotional control. Jamil will reportedly play Titania, a Marvel supervillain with incredible strength and a frequent rival of She-Hulk. The cast also includes Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ginger Gonzaga, and Tim Roth. Mark Ruffalo will also reprise the role of Bruce Banner in the series.
At the time of writing we are waiting for final confirmation, and we’ll bring you any updates on both this and other news on the show as we get it.
